Why and how are you bothering being sustainable?

Sustainability matters to us. It should matter to everyone. That’s why we endeavour to weave sustainability into our whole process from garment to delivery as sustainable as possible. Whilst there will always be ways we can improve, one of our promises is that we’ll always be honest and open about what we’re doing, but also how we can do better. We want to set the bar even higher on how businesses can good for the planet, and for everyone who lives on the spinning blue thing we call ‘home’. 

Our Partnership with Ecologi:

We have chosen to partner with Ecologi to make sure we can have as little an impact through our processes as possible. With every order, a tree is planted in the world where it is likely to have the most impact, as well as 1kg of carbon being removed from the atmosphere through carbon recapture schemes around the world. This, as you can imagine, comes at a cost, but we believe this is a price worth paying to make sure that we are putting our planet first. 

It would be easy for a business to put this cost on the consumer (i.e. you), but we believe we should take the burden of this too, considering we are the ones who started this little business. We felt this is the fairest way to make sure we're all doing what we can towards positivity, so whilst postage may cost a few pence more, we'll take a hit from our profits too, so the cost doesn't come solely to you. It is our mission to do what we can, and if we couldn't help in some way, we wouldn't have started nor would we keep going. We will only carry on as long as we are having a positive impact. Planet and People before profits is our target, back from emmaus is our vehicle, our movement.
